The National Association of Letter Carriers’ “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive is planned for May 14.
Residents are asked to collect and bag non-perishable food items and place them by the mailbox for the letter carrier to deliver to a local food bank or pantry.
Non-perishable food items include: canned meat, fish, soup, juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, and rice.
Items that have expired or are in glass containers are unacceptable.
Fresh food may be donated online at www.stampyourgood.com.
