Monday wasn’t a good day for whomever grew a sizeable patch of marijuana in western Anderson County.
Sheriff Joe Milam, Chief Deputy Robbie Armstrong, Sgt. Greg Boblitt and deputy Loren Wells of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office each had a hand in chopping down and destroying what the sheriff called was a “mature” patch of marijuana plants, following a tip.
Milam said there were 15 mature plants found with an estimated street value of around $30,000.
“They usually go for about $2,000 a plant,” said Milam.
