  • Man carrying case of beer flees from police

    A man walking on Broadway while carrying a case of beer took off on foot from police before being captured Aug. 29 and placed under arrest.

    Lawrenceburg police responded to a report of an intoxicated man walking on Broadway. When they arrived, they saw a man identified as Marvin Earl Brown, 51 (no address) stumbling along, carrying a case of beer.

    Police said they ordered him to stop, but he took off running south, cutting through several yards.

    Police said they quickly closed the distance and ordered him to stop or they would use a Taser on him.

    Aug. 1

    Austin Caffee was charged with receiving stolen property by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

    Elizabeth Gilbert was charged with receiving stolen property by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

    David Baker was charged with receiving stolen property and theft by deception by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

  • DUI suspect crashes semi into McD’s parking lot

    The driver of a tractor-trailer that crashed through a fence and into the McDonald’s parking lot near West Park Plaza was charged with DUI after telling police he took of his grandmother’s pain pills, according to police reports.

    A tractor-trailer driven by Taylor Morgan Henry, 22, of Pleasureville crashed through the fence alongside U.S. 127 before coming to rest in the drive-thru lane at McDonald’s.

  • Woman allegedly snorts Suboxone, slams head into cop car

    A woman sustained what was described by police as a “large gash” to her forehead after she slammed her head into the divider in the back of a patrol car.

    The woman, Elizabeth Carolyn Gilbert, of 107 Adair St., Frankfort allegedly told she snorted Suboxone before police found her sitting in the middle of Fairview Avenue in Lawrenceburg just after midnight Aug. 8.

  • Man hits two cars, power pole; flees scene

    A Lawrenceburg man was arrested last Tuesday on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license after striking two cars and a power pole, according to a citation issued by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

  • Man arrested on DUI charges

     

    A man was arrested last Sunday after his vehicle was observed traveling down Main Street in Lawrenceburg and being unable to hold its own lane, according to a citation issued by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

    According to the citation, the arresting officer said that upon making contact with the driver, he noticed a strong odor of alcohol and upon further observance stated that his eyes were red and bloodshot. William Antonio Hernandez-Poco, of 1014 Linden Drive, stated he had left Bourbon on Main and admitted to having three drinks.

  • Argument with fiancée turns brothers against each other

     

    A man was arrested last Monday after an altercation he had with his brother that transpired over an argument he had been having with his fiancée.

    Jason Tarrence, of Louisville, was charged with fourth degree assault after an argument with his brother, Jamie Tarrence.

    The argument became physical, resulting in Jamie receiving a bite to his finger and right upper arm, according to a citation. The altercation took place at 1060 Jenny Lillard Rd. in Lawrenceburg.

  • Suspect allegedly stole to feed habit

     

    After being observed shoplifting last Saturday, a man was arrested for stealing energy drinks and shoes.

    The man allegedly said his intent was to trade the items in order to feed his drug addiction, according to a citation issued by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

    William Cody Richardson, of 1141 Versailles Road, was arrested Saturday after Walmart identified him as being observed shoplifting multiple times in recent history including that day, July 29.
