  • Woman busted for trafficking heroin, meth

    A Lawrenceburg woman was arrested May 9 after police found quantities of heroin and methamphetamine in her home at 121 Hunter Ridge Drive, according to a citation issued by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

    Alanna Wiseman, 37, was charged with trafficking in both substances after Det. Jeremy Cornish executed a search warrant late that afternoon.

  • Woman slashed with steak knife

    The Lawrenceburg Police Department arrested a man Sunday on assault and domestic violence charges.

    Buddy Evans, of 201 1/2 Saffell Street, was taken into custody after his wife of 14 years, Jaqueline Evans, stated that on April 18 he took a steak knife and caused multiple injuries to her neck and arms, according to a complaint warrant issued by the Anderson District Court.

    He then allegedly told her that he was going to cut her throat, took her cell phone so that she could not call for help, and accused her of cheating on him.

  • Resisting arrest

    A man was arrested Saturday after Frankfort dispatch received a call for assistance on an unknown disturbance, possibly a domestic violence situation at 1157 Enterprise Road, according to Kentucky State Police.

    KSP Lt. Doug Carter was holding a male subject at gunpoint, according to the citation.

    When Deputy Patrick Beasley arrived, Rigoberto Aguilar Rodriguez continued to struggle with the officers, and Carter said he had been in a lengthy struggle with the subject.

  • Drunk woman hides in woods

    Shelby County resident Tonya Moore was taken into custody Saturday after she resisted arrest and ran out of a residence on Enterprise Road, proceeding to hide in the nearby woods, according to a citation issued by Kentucky State Police.

    Police officers were called after an off duty officer was investigating an argument across from his residence and began fighting a male subject, according to the citation.

    Jeremy Manley was charged with failure to pay child support by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

    Thomas Dennis was charged with a Fayette County warrant by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

    May 2

    Martin Chesser was charged with third-degree terroristic threatening by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

  • Woman arrested after pointing loaded handgun at man

     

    A Lawrenceburg woman was arrested last Friday morning for allegedly pointing a loaded handgun at a man.

    Lorrie Roberts, 53, of 105 Lakeview Drive was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment after police say she pointed a 9 mm semi-automatic at the man after police arrived at her home.

  • Man charged with threatening woman, child with chainsaw

    A man who once threatened to turn Anderson County High School into “another (expletive) Columbine” was arrested Saturday for allegedly threatening to cut up a woman with a chainsaw, according to a warrant for his arrest.

    James R. Tindal Jr., 23, pf 1430 Van Buren Road, Mt. Eden, was charged after threatening the woman and a child with the chainsaw, running it near them, preventing them from leaving the residence or using her telephone and deflating the tires on her vehicle, according to the warrant.

  • Man found running around in underwear busted for heroin, meth

    A Berea man who police say stripped down to his underwear while running around the Walmart parking lot early Saturday morning was charged with possession of heroin and methamphetamine.

    His girlfriend was charged in the incident, too.

  • DUI suspect runs into police officer

    A vehicle driven by a suspected drunk driver last Thursday night on Center Street struck a Lawrenceburg police officer in the leg, according to police reports.

    Officer Trey Burrus apparently wasn’t injured and ended up arresting two people in the car on charges that include DUI and assaulting a police officer.

    Charged were Lawrenceburg residents Connie R. Perry, 58, of 2047 Fox Creek Road, and Charlotte Whetzel, 33, of 1640 Ballard Road.

    It was Whetzel’s third DUI charge, according to police reports.

  • Woman faces methamphetamine, heroin, booster seat charges

    A woman whose toddler was not in a booster seat was charged March 25 with first-degree possession of heroin and methamphetamine, according to court documents.

    Beverly Barton, 35, of 102 Fairview Drive, Lawrenceburg was pulled over by deputy Alan Robinson of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office due to her license plate not being illuminated, according to a criminal citation.
