  • Woman charged with armed robbery

     

    A Lawrenceburg woman was scheduled to be arraigned this week for allegedly robbing the Primestar II convenience store at gunpoint last year.

    Robin R. Holbert, 47, of 303 Lincoln St. is charged with first-degree robbery in the stickup that happened last Sept. 24.

    Holbert allegedly got away with $719.65 after entering the store and holding the clerk at gunpoint while demanding cash.

  • Teen charged with burglary of grandparents’ home

     

    A Lawrenceburg man remains behind bars after his grandparents caught him in their house, going through their belongings, according to a criminal citation on file in Anderson District Court.

    Christopher Barrick, 19, of 1650 Bypass South is charged with second-degree burglary after a deputy nabbed him while fleeing from his grandparents’ home, according to a report filed by arresting officer Brian Boggs of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Woman busted for trafficking heroin, meth

    A Lawrenceburg woman was arrested May 9 after police found quantities of heroin and methamphetamine in her home at 121 Hunter Ridge Drive, according to a citation issued by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

    Alanna Wiseman, 37, was charged with trafficking in both substances after Det. Jeremy Cornish executed a search warrant late that afternoon.

  • Drunk woman hides in woods

    Shelby County resident Tonya Moore was taken into custody Saturday after she resisted arrest and ran out of a residence on Enterprise Road, proceeding to hide in the nearby woods, according to a citation issued by Kentucky State Police.

    Police officers were called after an off duty officer was investigating an argument across from his residence and began fighting a male subject, according to the citation.

  • Resisting arrest

    A man was arrested Saturday after Frankfort dispatch received a call for assistance on an unknown disturbance, possibly a domestic violence situation at 1157 Enterprise Road, according to Kentucky State Police.

    KSP Lt. Doug Carter was holding a male subject at gunpoint, according to the citation.

    When Deputy Patrick Beasley arrived, Rigoberto Aguilar Rodriguez continued to struggle with the officers, and Carter said he had been in a lengthy struggle with the subject.

  • Woman slashed with steak knife

    The Lawrenceburg Police Department arrested a man Sunday on assault and domestic violence charges.

    Buddy Evans, of 201 1/2 Saffell Street, was taken into custody after his wife of 14 years, Jaqueline Evans, stated that on April 18 he took a steak knife and caused multiple injuries to her neck and arms, according to a complaint warrant issued by the Anderson District Court.

    He then allegedly told her that he was going to cut her throat, took her cell phone so that she could not call for help, and accused her of cheating on him.

  • Man jailed for choking woman

    A Lawrenceburg man remains behind bars after allegedly choking a woman until the blood vessels in her eyes burst, according to a citation issued by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

    Brock O’Neil Thompson, 22, of 424 Secretariat Drive, allegedly broke into the woman’s home and waited for her to return while hiding in a basement closet, according to an arrest warrant requested May 8 by officer Nathan Doty.
