    Judge Tom Lively heard the following cases during Anderson District Court proceedings on Apr. 17, 2014.

    Anthony T. Hawkins, arraignment, second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension – pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference Apr. 24.

    Carlos R. Hernandez, arraignment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence – pleaded guilty, sentenced to seven days to serve, 30 day operator license suspension, $728, installment/deferred payment Oct. 2; no operator/moped license – pleaded guilty, sentenced to seven days to serve (concurrent).

    Judge Tom Lively heard the following cases during Anderson District Court proceedings on March 20, 2014.

    Donald W. Jones, arraignment, possession of marijuana, buy/possess drug paraphernalia – pleaded guilty, sentenced to 15 days to serve (concurrent), $100 to Anderson County Drug Interdiction Fund, $353, installment/deferred payment Oct. 30.

    Jordan C. Lewis, hearing, license to be in possession, possession of marijuana, buy/possess drug paraphernalia – jail credit $50 per day for fines and costs.

    Jan. 13

    Judge Donna Dutton heard the following cases during Anderson District Court proceedings on January 13, 2014.

    Roberto G. Juarez, arraignment, no operator/moped license – continued first appearance Jan. 16.

  • Clarification

    Brian T. Bentley, 47, of Harrodsburg Road, is not the Bryan J. Bentley, 19, that has been in District Court news in recent weeks for various charges.

  • Anderson Grand Jury indicts for trafficking, burglary

    The following people were indicted Feb. 18 by the Anderson Grand Jury.
    Daniel B. Simpson, 24, 100 Feland Dr., Lawrenceburg, and Natasha M. Robinson, 30, 209 Lynn Dr., Lawrenceburg, was indicted for complicity for second-degree burglary, a Class C felony.
    The indictment says Simpson and Robinson unlawfully entered a dwelling located at 1070 Mays Road on Dec. 26, 2013, with the intent to commit a crime.
    Simpson and Robinson were charged by Trooper Welch of the Kentucky state police.
