He wants to turn Lawrenceburg blue

A Lawrenceburg man is launching a blue light campaign to support police.

Michael Childress said he “went numb” when hearing of the murder of Kentucky State Police Trooper Cameron Ponder, a person with whom he was friends.

“I didn’t want to believe it,” said Childress, who lives on Seabiscuit Lane. “I am sick and tired of hearing police officers getting killed left and right and all they’re trying to do is their jobs.

“The last thing I want to do is bury a family member because of some coward.”
