Living to dance

Marlie Garmon was the only dancer from Anderson County chosen for the Kentucky Governor’s School of Performing Arts program, which will be held over the next three weeks at Centre College in Danville. The program received 1,400 applicants, auditioned 650 students, and choose 256 performers. It will run through July 8, and is designed to offer performing arts training for Kentucky’s high school age students.

“I have been dancing for as long as I can remember,” said Garmon.
