The man who served as Anderson County Coroner for nearly 30 years died Thursday morning following a lengthy illness.
Wilmer C. “Woody” Gash, 71, served as coroner from 1964 through 1982 and was owner, funeral director and embalmer at Gash Memorial Chapel on Main Street, Lawrenceburg.
Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Gash Memorial Chapel.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Ehr officiating.
