  • Brown leads Lady Bearcats into regional final

WARSAW – For the fourth consecutive year, Anderson County made the girls' Eighth Region Tournament basketball game.

The Lady Bearcats assured themselves of a shot at repeating their Sweet 16 appearance of last season with a 47-44 win over Owen County on Friday night at Gallatin County High School.

The contest bore little resemblance to the first two games the teams played when both teams won easily on the other team's home court. Instead, this one was never certain until Anderson's Eriel McKee swiped a length-of-the-court pass as time expired.
