All Anderson County was doing was protecting its turf.
And its place at the top of the 30th District.
Anderson, which has been dominant in the 30th District since the realignment of 2012, took a major stop to the top spot in the district tournament with a 5-0 romp past visiting Shelby County last Wednesday.
“We did (dominate),” Anderson coach Jason Earnest said. “Shelby County had some injuries and had at least three of their starters out. We were able to dominate possession and get some nice passes for some easy goals.”
