There were tears, certainly, but stunned looks were the most familiar sights around Anderson County football Friday night.
That was understandable after the Bearcats had seen Pulaski County rally from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter and score the winning touchdown with only 46 seconds left.
It was on a fourth down play, at that.
Stunning. Deep hurt. And now, for those who will return in 2014, eight months to think about, “What if?” For those who won't, there will be a lasting hurt.
