    Mount Eden Christian Church will host its eighth annual Christmas breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 8-11 a.m.
    The community is invited to stop by for food and fellowship.

    presents  Christmas program
    New Liberty Christian Church youth will be presenting their Christmas program “Best Christmas Present Ever” on Dec. 16 at 11 a.m.
    Terrianna Conway is the director, according to the church’s news release.

    David White, a sophomore student at Anderson High School, was to report the news of the basketball teams to The Anderson News for the season.
    White, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White, played freshman football and was serving as manager of the basketball team.
    He was a member of Co-Ed-Y, the Latin Club, Pep Club and the Boy’s Ensemble.

    Compassionate Friends announce upcoming meetings
    The Compassionate Friends will host meetings for bereavement parents who have lost children of any age.
    Meetings are held on the first Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and the third Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the hospice building, 643 Teton Trail in Frankfort.

  • Blue Grass Community Action Agency to meet

    The Blue Grass Community Action Agency will hold a public meeting Dec. 19 at noon to discuss the needs of low-income residents in Anderson County.
    The meeting will be held at Blue Grass Community Action, located at 117 Hilltop Drive.

    Jessica M. Hawkins, motion for shock probation, operating a motor vehicle under the influence – motion denied.
    Jodie L. Woods, motion for shock probation, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, third-degree possession of controlled substance – motion granted.
    Joseph D. Barbee, arraignment, second-degree disorderly conduct – pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference Nov. 14, motion/disposition/trial date Dec. 6.
