Looking back on my short baseball career, one thing stands out above everything else.
I could not hit a curve ball. For that matter, I couldn't hit a fastball, a change, a screwball or anything else.
But my first love has always been the game measured in 90-foot intervals. I have seen so many baseball games in person and on the tube that I have at least a working knowledge of the game, but I don't claim to be an expert.
There is one thing my I am sure of: L.W. Barnes is a great high school baseball coach.
