Mark Peach knows plenty of high school football teams would gladly trade their 2012 seasons for the one Anderson County just enjoyed.
The Bearcats finished 8-3. They were ranked among Class 5A's Top 10 most of the year. They won the games they were supposed to win and might have picked up a couple more.
Yet, after advancing all the way to the state championship game in 2011, there was obviously little joy around the Bearcat camp when the season abruptly ended with a 48-0 loss to Cooper in the first round of the state playoffs on Nov. 2.
