Jay Smith was named the Most Valuable Player as the Anderson County High School boys' basketball team celebrated a 22-5 season at the annual team banquet on April 28.
Smith, who will play basketball collegiately at Transylvania University, also received the awards for Most Defensive Rebounds, Most Steals, Most Assists, Free Throw Percentage, and the Leadership Award.
Smith shared the Academic Award with manager Katie Rogers and shared the Keith Foster Most Committed Award with Kyle Sutherland.
