Anderson County is under a flash flood watch beginning Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Bart Powell, the local director of Public Safety, issued the following weather-related information on Wednesday afternoon:
The National Weather Service is forecasting very heavy rain starting Thursday morning and continuing for approximately 24 hours. The forecast predicts 3 to 5 inches of rain in the Anderson County area.
If this is the case, Anderson County residents who live in flood-prone areas should make preparations for flooding.
