To the editor:
On behalf of the Anderson County Environmental Community, I would like to provide some factual information to clear up the editorial from Nov.7, “Tell magistrates to protect Earth and your wallet.”
Last spring, the committee, with support and approval from both the county and city, applied for and received a $125,000 grant to purchase equipment to improve Anderson’s recycling program.  

To the editor:
My mother was very ill with heart failure and in the hospital. She wanted to go home. Her doctor said she could with Hospice care. This was the first I had heard of Hospice.
Their efficiency (combined with sensitivity and compassion) was so welcome at a confusing time in my family’s life. Hospice care combined the highest level of quality care with emotional and spiritual support.

To the editor:
On behalf of the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg, thank you for the great coverage of the open house and dedication of our new school this past week.
We are blessed to live in a community where our hometown newspaper supports folks who are working to make a positive difference in our “friendly, growing” piece of small town America.

To the editor:
I’m 11 years old and in the sixth grade from Lawrenceburg.
I dressed up as Mitt Romney for Halloween and went trick or treating.
About five people refused to give me candy. One old lady yelled at me and told me to get out of her yard.
I think they were Democrats; they sure were mean.
When I grow up I’m going to be a Republican, for sure.
I’m kind of afraid to sign my name because they might come and try to get me.
