Three weeks into the 2017 high school softball season, Anderson County remains a major work in progress.
As their short trip to the Collins Spring Break Bash indicated last weekend, the Lady Bearcats can be very good. Anderson was named champion of the tournament after winning four of five games. It was, by far, the finest outing of the year for the Lady Cats, who improved to 6-4.
The Lady Bearcats pounded the ball in the four wins, scoring 49 runs and winning three of the games by the “mercy rule.”
