Rest in peace, my sweet four-footed friend, Sophia.
She passed early [Monday] morning after being struck by a car. The driver did not have the courtesy to knock or leave a note.
She will be dearly missed by many on Ballard Road.

It took Brian Glass a bit longer than normal before he was ready to talk with the press last Tuesday night.

The Anderson County softball coach generally goes over a few things with his team before heading straight to his dugout to chat for public consumption.

But last Tuesday, after Oldham County had ended his team's dream of a state tournament trip, Glass told the Lady Bearcats he was proud of their efforts, both on the season and for the game, then headed to the team locker room with his coaching staff.

Judge Linda Armstrong heard the following cases during Anderson District Court proceedings on April 1, 2013.
James D. Ellis, pretrial conference, operating a motor vehicle under the influence – pleaded guilty, sentenced to 30 days (conditionally discharged), eight days home incarceration program, 30 day operator license suspension, $728, review May 13.
Layne A. Hahn, arraignment, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security – dismissed.
