Box seats for the 141st annual Lawrenceburg Fair and Horse Show are now available.
The fair is scheduled for June 22-29 at the American Legion fairgrounds on Broadway in Lawrenceburg.
Box seat tickets are $75 and include four passes and reserved parking for one car for the horse show nights, which will be held Tuesday, June 25 through Friday, June 28.
“This is an attractive offer and permits you to bring family members or neighbors to the horse show at no further cost to you or your guests,” fair organizers said in a press release.

High school senior Katherine Green said she’s only cried of joy twice in her life.
The first time was when she found out the marching band was going to finals.  
The second was when she got into the architecture program at the College of Design at the University of Kentucky.
As most of the Anderson County Marching Bearcats seniors gathered in a hallway outside the band room last month to discuss the last four years (for some the last five years, not every senior chose the same memory from the 2012 season.   

Lawrenceburg native Cheryl Nolan, a dispatcher at Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green, recently received her KSP Telecommunications Academy diploma in Frankfort.

The School-Based Decision-Making (SBDM) Council at Anderson County Middle School discussed the process for selecting a new principal at a special called meeting on May 8.  
The council hopes to name a principal by June 7, according to Superintendent Sheila Mitchell.  
At the May 8 meeting, the council established a written plan/timeline and decided to survey students, staff, parents and members of the community in order to gather input for establishing criteria for principal selection.
