You had to know something was up less than 90 seconds into Friday’s duel for a high seed in the state football playoffs.

Anderson County quarterback Zach Carmichael lofted a rainbow over the East Jessamine defense, connecting with Chris Toomey for a 68-yard score.

Given the explosive nature of the Anderson offense under Coach Mark Peach, the quick score was not that much of a surprise. No one, however, could have predicted the response.
