Cooper made a statement in the Class 5A high school football playoffs Friday night.
A very loud statement.
The Jaguars totally dominated what had been expected to be a nail-biter to post a 61-14 win over Anderson County in the Region 3 championship game at Warford Stadium.
Cooper running back Torry Cordell-Armstrong blitzed the Bearcats for 351 yards on 31 carries and scored four touchdowns to lead the Jaguars to the state semi-finals for the second time in three years. Cooper will play at Pulaski County next Friday night.
