Turnovers doom Bearcat bid to become elite

The degree of separation between the very good and the elite is rarely large. The margin for error among the very good who are chasing those elite is even smaller.

Anderson County, one of those in the realm of very good, found that out Friday when it was trying to take down Boyle County, a program that has been in the highest echelon of Kentucky high school football for the last 15 years.

The Bearcats turned the ball over five times, all via interceptions, as Boyle pulled away to a 48-26 win that was much closer than the score would indicate.
