Almost every program receives small increase

By Chris Leach

The 2019-20 Anderson County High School athletics budget was finalized during Monday’s monthly school board meeting, and almost every sport saw an increase from the previous year’s budget.

A total of $54,549 was budgeted towards ACHS athletics, which is a 10.1 percent increase from 2018-19.

Nineteen of the 22 sports and sport-activities at ACHS saw increases in the budget, with boys’ basketball, dance and bass fishing being the only sports to not receive an increase for the upcoming seasons.
