William “Bill” and Glenna White Stivers will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception on Sunday, May 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Graefenburg Christian Church.


The reception is being hosted by their son, Mark Stivers; his wife, Cindy; daughter, Lisa Smith; her husband, Brooke; and their four grandchildren, Abby and Elise Stivers, and Ethan and Adam Smith.

The Stivers’ were married May 20, 1966 at Graefenburg Christian Church by the bride’s uncle, Robert Watson.

Mr. Stivers retired as account executive after 41 years at Rand McNally (now Quad Graphics) Printing Company in Versailles. He now runs a beef cow/calf operation. Mrs. Stivers worked at Kentucky State Police Crime and Photo labs for 10 years.

The Stivers’ recently returned from a pre-anniversary trip to Williamsburg, Virginia, and other places of interest.

Graefenburg Christian Church is located at 5900 Louisville Road, Frankfort, at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Highway 151 at Graefenburg.
