District considering ‘guidance’ ACLU says it never offered

 More than two years after the state legislature approved Bible literacy electives for Kentucky high schools, school officials here have yet to do the same. 

Superintendent Sheila Mitchell said last week there’s still a chance the high school will include a Bible literacy course when it opens Aug. 8. That hasn’t happened yet, Mitchell said, because school officials are still considering what she called in an email “guidance” from the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky — guidance the ACLU said it never offered.
