 Candlelight service at Alton Baptist

A Christmas Eve candlelight communion service is scheduled for 5 p.m. Dec. 24 at Alton Baptist Church.

The service “will welcome in Christmas with a very special time of worship and praise,” according to an announcement. 


Christmas eve service at Central Baptist

Central Baptist Church has scheduled a 10 a.m. worship service for Christmas Eve.

The church is located at 1958 U.S. 127, near the Anderson-Franklin county line. 

All are welcome to the service.

The church is also continuing its outdoor manger scene, which is free.

“This is a beautiful scene of what Bethlehem may have looked like at the time of Christ’s birth,” a church announcement reads. The church recommends visiting the scene at night to get the full effect.

Christmas gifts and sermons at Nineveh Christian 

Ninevah Christian Church is once again sponsoring children in need of gifts and clothes this Christmas. To find a child to sponsor, contact Will Cooper at the church.

Gifts are due back to the church office by Wednesday, Dec. 20. 

For the next two weeks, beginning Sunday, Dec. 17, Pastor Terry Cooper is pausing his Gospel of John series for a special Christmas sermon series. 

The Nineveh Christian Christmas candlelight service will be Sunday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. in the Worship Center. 


Lawrenceburg First Christian

plans Christmas Eve service

The Lawrenceburg First Christian Candlelight Christmas Eve Service is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 24 at 11 p.m.

The Monday morning Christmas service is at midnight. 


 St. Lawrence Catholic Church

 plans Christmas Masses

On Dec. 24, St. Lawrence Catholic will hold Christmas Eve masses at 9:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m. and 10: p.m. with a choir performance at 9:30 p.m.

Christmas Day mass is at 9:30 a.m. 


Free clothing at Salvisa Baptist

Through February 2018, free clothing will only be available by appointment at Salvisa Christian.
