Fire cadet salvages old plaque

Emma Grisham, right, a cadet with the Anderson County Fire Department, presents a plaque that was recovered earlier today at the old Glensboro School building to Cammie Alexander at the school board office. Grisham and others with the fire department are busy cleaning out the old building that in recent years has served as the area’s fire hall. Construction of a new hall is scheduled to begin this summer. The plaque includes the name of former superintendent Emma B. Ward, along with school board members Earl Hume, Roy B. Robinson, Rual Hays, Edgar Taylor, C.V.
