A foreclosed home up for sale on Bluebird Court caught fire early Thursday morning, triggering the evacuation of residents living in two neighboring structures.
According to City Fire Chief Bobby Hume, when firefighters arrived at 207 Bluebird Court at about 4:51 a.m. on Thursday morning, the entire roof was on fire.
Hume said two neighboring residences were evacuated as a safety precaution given the fire’s close proximity to other buildings.
“Apparently it had been burning for a while,” Hume said of the Bluebird Court home.
