Juniors vie for Distinguished Young Women title on Saturday

The 31st annual 2013 Distinguished Young Women program, formerly known as Junior Miss, will be held April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Anderson High School Auditorium.
Admission will be $10 per person. Nine high school juniors will compete for $4,450 in scholarship awards, provided by Anderson County individuals and businesses participants for the 2013 Distinguished Young Women program.
According to event organizers, “The primary emphasis on this program is education. We feel education is a very important role in these ladies’ lives and in this community.”
