Second man charged with robbery in what police are calling a home invasion

The man accused of gunning down a pregnant Lawrenceburg woman and her unborn baby was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with first-degree murder.
Derrick J. Morris, 33, of Frankfort was arrested by the Kentucky State Police, according to a news release. He is also charged with first-degree robbery in the shooting death of Lauryn Kinne, 22, and her unborn child which occurred early Tuesday morning at her home at 307 Saffell St. He is currently being held in the Shelby County Detention Center.
Police say Morris assaulted a man inside home by repeatedly striking him with a firearm during a home invasion. At one point, the firearm discharged, striking Kinne in the chest. The man, Joseph Luttrell, was also shot during the incident but survived his injuries.
Morris is the second person charged in the incident. Earlier Tuesday, Johnathan T. Harley, 20, of Lawrenceburg was charged with first-degree robbery.
Harley arrived at the residence at the Saffell Street residence minutes before the robbery, state police said.
He initially denied any knowledge of the robbery plans, but later admitted to taking part in the planning and execution of the robbery.
Other charges are pending.
