Peach reflects on season that exceeded expectations

Less than 24 hours after the winningest season in Anderson County football history ended, Bearcat coach Mark Peach picked up the phone and called the man who coached the previous best, Sam Harp.

Harp has won eight state championships at Danville High School, but around Anderson County, he's known more as the coach who took the Bearcats from the realm of being very good into the outskirts of the elite neighborhood in the mid-1980s.

And, as nearly anyone who follows Bearcat football knows, Harp was Mark Peach's high school coach.
