Police warn of vehicle break-ins

The Lawrenceburg Police Department issued a warning Monday for vehicle owners to not leave valuables inside of their parked cars.

The department is working on several cases involving items stolen from vehicles and several arrests have been made, according to a news release.

Police said to avoid having items stolen, vehicle owners should:

l never leave anything of value in plain sight

l always lock glove compartments and center consoles

l always lock tool boxes on trucks

l never leave tools, personal effects, etc., in the back of trucks

l never leave prescriptions medications in plain view

l never hand anything from rearview mirrors that would indicate anything of value is in the vehicle.
