Submitting news and uploading photos

Let me first start with a shout out to all of you who have been submitting news items, engagements and community events through our website.

We're so pumped that you've been using our new features, and I really hope it makes sharing your news even easier than before.

We have had one small issue regarding photos submitted with some of the news items. For whatever reason, there are at least two instances when I've had to contact the person and ask for the photo to be e-mailed because it was not attached to the original submission.

When you attach a photo to a news tip, event or announcement, you must do two things to make sure it attaches to the submission.

First, you must click the "Browse" or "Choose File" button to locate the photo on your computer — but that in itself is not enough.

After you have selected the photo, you must also click the "Upload" button to attach the file to our system. This upload usually only takes a few seconds depending on the size of the file. Once your photo is uploaded, you should be able to see a thumbnail version of it and input cutline and photo credit information.

I'm not sure this is the solution to the problem, but always make sure to click "Upload" after you select your photo.

Thanks again for making our new website a success, and let me know if you have any questions.
