The woman killed yesterday afternoon in a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Highway 151 has been identified as Makayla Brown, 20, of Lawrenceburg.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office after the vehicle she was driving was T-boned by a pickup truck as she entered the intersection from Frankfort Road near McDonald’s.

Brown’s vehicle was struck by Thomas Sayre, 66, of Midway, who was traveling north on U.S. 127. Following that collision, Sayre’s pickup struck another vehicle driven by Linda Hudson of Lawrenceburg, who was treated at the scene by Anderson County EMS and released.

Sayre was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, according to a news release issued by the Kentucky State Police.

Brown, a 2014 graduate of Anderson County High School, was a mother and expecting another child in August. Her death sparked an outpouring of grief across the area, with hundreds of people offering prayers and condolences for her family on social media.

There was no word early Saturday as to calling hours of funeral arrangements.
