Ward Academic Team wins title

Robert B. Turner students place second, Saffell Street students place fourth

The Emma B. Ward Academic Team placed first overall during the recent district Academic Team competition. Students from Robert B. Turner placed second, followed by Mercer Intermediate in third and Saffell Street Elementary in fourth, the school announced in a news release.
In team competitions, the Future Problem Solving and Quick Recall teams also placed first overall. Team members include Emily Hudson, Sophie Grigsby, Catherine McGrath, Audra Hunter, Jack Potter, Logan Whitaker, Juliana Godby, Claire Cooper and Taylor Hudson, the news release said.
