  • Harry E. and Annell B. Adair of Versailles, formerly of Lexington, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18

    The couple was married Aug. 18, 1950 at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Baxter, in Anderson County by the Rev. Reed Carter

    The Adairs have two children, Woody Adair and his wife, Debbie, of Danville, Ind. and Julie Barnett and her husband, Kenny, of Lawrenceburg.

  • Jack G. and Ann Parker Upchurch of Stanford will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20 at the Inter-County Energy community room, 1009 Hustonville Road, Danville.

    The couple was married Aug. 11, 1960 at the Danville First Church of God by then pastor Marvin L. Forbes.

    Betty Coomer Parker, sister-in-law of the bride served as matron of honor and Earl Upchurch, brother of the groom served as best man.

  • Randi Whittaker and Kenneth Layne Brown of Frankfort announce the birth of their son, Clint Matthew Brown, on July 14, 2010 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.

    He was 6 pounds, 14 1/2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

    He was welcomed home by a brother, Caleb Brown, 7.

    His maternal grandparents are Rhonda Click of Lawrenceburg and Billy Whittaker of Burgin.

  • Melissa Marcella Tooker and Charles Justin Bertram, both of Killeen, Texas, were married July 9, 2010 in Houston.

    The bride is a daughter of Marcie and Jody Shelby and Ken and Paige Tooker, all of Houston.

    She is a 2002 graduate of Spring Woods High School in Houston.

    The groom is a son of Jeff and Kathy Bertram of Lawrenceburg.

    He is a 2002 graduate of Anderson County High School.

    He is currently a staff sergeant with the U.S. Army in the 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Hood.

    The couple will make their home in Killeen, Texas.

    He weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 inches long.

    His maternal grandparents are Kerry and Barbie Markwell of Lawrenceburg. His maternal great-grandparents are Walter and Alpha Harley of Lawrenceburg.

    His paternal grandparents are Mark and Rhonda Brown of Lawrenceburg. His paternal great-grandparents are Bill and Nancy Brown and Brenda Wilhoite, all of Lawrenceburg.

    She is a 2005 graduate of Anderson County High School and plans to graduate in 2011 from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design with a minor in art history.

    She is currently employed as a pharmacy technician at Kroger in Lawrenceburg.
