    The groom elect is a son of Tim and Lisa Sebastian of Lawrenceburg and Julie Heatherly of Mobile, Ala.

    He is a 2001 graduate of Anderson County High School and is a retail manager in Lexington.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. “Dickie” Russell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception on June 4, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Graefenburg Baptist Church in Waddy.

    The couple was married June 3, 1960 by the Rev. Gilbert Shely, the bride’s uncle, at the bride’s home in Graefenburg.

    Betty Russell, the former Betty Sue Cogswell, is a daughter of the late James and Oneta Cogswell.

    She is retired from the Administrative Office of the Courts in Frankfort.

    The bride-to-be is a granddaughter of Shirley and Louise Turner of Harrodsburg, the late George Stamper Sr. and the late Millie Swango.

    She is a 2005 graduate of Mercer County High School and a 2009 graduate of Murray State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice.

  • Arien and Joey Wainscott of Frankfort announce the birth of their son, Callan Blithe Wainscott, on Feb. 11, 2010 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.

    He weighed 6 pounds and was 19 inches long.

    He was welcomed home by a sister, Lillian, 2, and a brother, Khaidan, 18 months.

    His maternal grandparents are Karen and Tim Hurt of Lawrenceburg. His maternal great-grandparents are Marie and Tom Hurt of Lawrenceburg and Ilse Harman of Elizabethtown.

    The bride-to-be is a daughter of Barbara Crabb of Lawrenceburg and the late Allen Crabb.

    She is a 1981 graduate of Western Anderson High School and is employed as an operator 2 at Pilkington Versailles in Versailles.

    The groom-elect is a son of Opal Beasley of Harrodsburg and the late Alonzo “Pudden” Beasley.

    He is a 1978 graduate of Mercer County High School and is self-employed.

  • Kelley and Joseph Puckett of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Mayci Ryan Puckett, on Feb. 14, 2010 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.

    She weighed 7 pounds, 5 3/4 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long.

    She was welcomed home by two sisters, Kamryn Carmickle, 8, and Chayse Puckett, 5.

  • Wallace and Charlotte Cardwell of Crooked Creek Road will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on May 22.

    They were married May 22, 1970 at Bellepoint Baptist Church in Frankfort by the Rev. Billy Craddock.

    Mr. Cardwell is retired from the U.S. Navy and from Facilities Security. He is a Franklin County native.

    He is a son of the late Edgar Sr. and Sara Jane Cardwell.

    Mrs. Cardwell, a housewife, is a daughter of the late Winford and Hallie Keith.

    The Cardwells have one son, Wally Cardwell, and one daughter, Rebecca Barnes and Robbie Barnes.
