Anderson County’s Kynan Russell (32) flips Franklin County quarterback Nick Broyles during the Bearcats’ win Friday night. Russell was credited with 14 tackles.

Anderson County’s time of reckoning had come.

In less than six minutes, the Bearcats had seen a two-touchdown lead evaporate and they were looking up from the wrong end of a score for the first time this season. To make matters worse, it was an old rival, Franklin County, simultaneously silencing an overflow crowd and threatening to ruin Anderson’s homecoming along with quickly ending talk of an unbeaten season.
