    Gwendolyn Wynona Monroe Grider, 85, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Golden Living Center-St. Matthews in Louisville. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Carpenter and Cathy Noe.
      Services were held on Saturday at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.

  • Floyd 'Snookie' Goodlett, 66

    Floyd “Snookie” Goodlett, 66, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
    He was born in Anderson County to the late Earl and Evelee “Dolly” Stratton Goodlett. He was a retired employee of Jim Beam Distillery in Frankfort having worked for 39 years. He was a member of the Ninevah Christian Church and Wheels of Time Car Club.

  • James Ray Curtsinger

    James Ray Curtsinger, 70, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at his home.  
    He was born in Anderson County and was the son of the late J.R. and Margaret Sutherland Curtsinger. He was a retired employee of Boulevard Distillery; a member of Glensboro Baptist Church; Anderson Lodge #90; American Legion Post # 34; and VFW # 4075 in Frankfort. He was a Vietnam veteran and a 1958 graduate of Anderson High School.

    Thomas Dudley Cotton Sr., 76, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.  He was born Oct. 25, 1934 in Madison County, son of the late George Allen and Gladys Hogan Cotton.

  • Catherine Hanrahan Burke, 89

    Catherine Hanrahan Burke, 89, of Frankfort formerly of Lawrenceburg and San Francisco, Calif. died at the Markey Cancer Center Tuesday, March 22, 2011.  
    She is survived by a son Mike Burke; and a daughter Moira Burk,
    Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.  According to her wishes she will be taken home to California.  No services are planned.

  • Izaiah Christopher Wayne Barnett, 6 weeks

    Izaiah Christopher Wayne Barnett, 6 weeks old, passed away March 2, 2011. His parents were Evelyn Clark and Weylin Barnett of Lawrenceburg.
    He was the grandson of Stacy (Donald Goodlett) Lovins and Chris Clark of Winchester. Paternal grandparents were Spencer and Kathy Barnett of Lawrenceburg. Maternal grandparents were Larry and Jo Ann Kincaid. Uncles were Timothy Stratton, Marcus Penny. His special aunts were Andrea Lovins and Chasity Clark of Winchester.
     Services were Friday, March 4 at Lawrenceburg Cemetery with Bro. Terry Cooper officiating.

    Garnett Earl Tucker, 65, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at U.K. Medical Center. 
    He was born March 15, 1946 in Woodford County.  Garnett was the owner of GET Excavating Company, LLC.  He was a member of Mayo Christian Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

  • Sarah Lucille Saunders Rucker, 74

    Sarah Lucille Saunders Rucker, 74, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at her residence.  She was born June 25, 1936 in Shelby County. She was a daughter of the late Hallie Bell Slucher and James Edwards Saunders.
    Lucille loved her family and cooking.  She cooked for the Anderson County Head Start and Anderson County High School for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was a great Christian lady and loved singing and listening to gospel music.

  • Billy Burt Gash, 74

    Billy Burt Gash, 74, of Louisville, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville.
     He was a son of Helen Peyton Gash and the late William Guy Gash.  
    Besides his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Paula Sue Price.
    Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kirkwood Cemetery in Mercer County.
    Burial will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery.
    There will be no visitation.
