Hundreds of bales of hay smolder in the rain Monday morning after a barn burned the ground. It remains unclear what caused the blaze, but the owner ruled out questionable hay.
Fire flattens barn, destroys hay

When his hay barn on Rice Road burned to the ground in 2008, Michael Webster bought hay to feed his cattle.

He won’t do the same this time.

Webster lost between 500 and 600 round bales when his barn caught fire sometime early Monday morning. By the time one of his workers arrived to the barn later that morning, it had been reduced a twisted pile of sheet metal roofing and hundreds of smoldering bales of hay.
