The leaves are about to show their colors. The Autumnal Equinox officially arrives this Saturday at 9:54 p.m. As the daylight grows shorter, the chlorophyll that makes the leaves stay green all summer is starting to lessen. This allows the true color of the leaves to come thru, reminding me of decorations on a Christmas tree. It’s a last hooray of color, before we roll into the dreaded winter blahs.
